In terms of paid links and penalisation, it&#039;s more likely the links just count for nothing because otherwise competitors could submit your site to link farms and thus get you penalised. That leaves the fact that it&#039;s more exposure - people actually seeing your link and perhaps clicking on it, although again, the page your link is on probably gets no traffic. Basically, there shouldn&#039;t be a penalty but there&#039;s no value anyway.</description>
